Friday 29th July

The C6's were off Hanson Island. This is the first time that I have seen them, and heard them, so it was a new experience for me.

The C6's came back later and seemed to be in a playful mood, spyhops and breaches and lovely calls again. Few of the captures I got are posted below. It was a really clear view of them. And then we got to see the Heron, who was busy fishing. I didnt manage to catch him with the fish he/ she caught.

Wednesday 27th July

OL was beautiful today, I sat and watched the mist clear until it was a beautiful blue, it was so clear that I could see the ripples in the water.

Waiting patiently paid off.......................the A36's visited and Im not sure which one I saw so close up, but the picture below is either Cracroft (A32), Plumper (A37) or Kaikash (A46)

Tuesday 26th July

Orca Live looked beautiful today...........Blue skies and calm water. We listened to the calls of the A30's and A4's and a short while later the A30's and the A4's were off Cracroft Point, and were visible on the camera. We also watched Dall's porpoises swimming amongst the orcas.

Didn't see Blackney or Pointer, or Clio's new baby but I felt so happy inside to know that they were there, and that mine and Emma's 'family' were back again.

The A 12's were hunting fish near Critical Point, and I listened to them echolocating. Later I saw them on the camera and heard their calls on the hydrophone.

Thursday 21st July

The A 12's were in Johnstone Strait ..............really clear calls again and very little boat noise on the hydrophones. Lots of the calls reminded me of the A30's.

Sunday July 17th

Me and Jess watched the A12's again. We both tried to get a picture of one of them spyhopping.............but we both missed! They were very quiet today, but it was wonderful to see them again. We watched a heron for a long time as well.

Still waiting (not so) patiently to see the A 30's. I know they are nearby!

Spikey the sea urchin on Cam B!! i watched him eating kelp during the afternoon!

Saturday July 16th

The A 12's visited again today. They were very vocal and the eeeeeoooooo calls made me think of the A30's. I haven't seen the A30's yet, but the Orca Live message board is saying that they are around and have been heard on the hydrophones whilst I was asleep the other night.

Thursday July 14th

The Orcas were back again today. The A12's were foraging and we were able to watch the young calf again. They were much closer to the cams today and I saw some beautiful sights, along with those haunting A Clan calls that make me tingle. Such clear and beautiful calls today.
They spent quite a long time within range of the cams and it was really peaceful sitting here and watching them. I am so looking forward to seeing the A30's and hope that we get to see their new calf, in the same way that we have been able to see the new calf with the A12's.

Wednesday July 13th

Me, Dave and Jess watched the orcas this evening. The A36's and the A12's were off Cracroft Point and Blackney Passage. The A12's have a new calf, Misty (A62) is the Mother. This was my first sighting of the orcas this year and I cried with happiness when I saw them again. Makes me feel much more peaceful inside.
I can't wait until the A30's make their first appearance. The picture is of the calf who was playing and breaching, and tail slapping

The A36 Boys came back again later and the three of them looked like they were foraging. Its the first time that I have seen them since November last year. The A36 boys were there
when Orca Live closed for the season. Great to see them again
